The Vata dosha, in Indian Traditional Medicine, is made up of both air and the space it takes up which is visualized as the energy of wind blowing. A person who is predominantly vata will be moving all the time from one thing to the next, they will have difficulty being calm and coming to a rest. The activities of rest, recovery, and sleep are harder to accomplish for a Vata, but energy, thinking, and being active comes easy to such a person. The personality of a vata predominant person will be rough, direct, persistent, penetrating, and irritating at times.
