Single-step tinctures are effective remedies that are the traditional do-it-yourself homemade medicinal tinctures, which can be commercially manufactured and sold. They may be made by using a tincture press or by percolation method with whole herbs, cut-and-sifted quality, and/or powdered herbs.
Single-step tinctures work by their main known constituents that have been studied and documented to have metabolic activity within the structure and/or function of any system, organ, gland, and/or tissue. Generally single-step tinctures have very little nutritional value in the form of vitamins, minerals.
Types of Single-Step Tinctures
All of the following types of tinctures will work appropriately in potency and be easy-to-take when made into a classic single-step tincture, because overextraction will render them unpalatable, very bitters, overly astringent and drying, or acrid and irritating.
- Culinary Spice Tinctures
- Medicinal Herb Tincture
- Bitter Tonic Tincture
- Oil Tinctures
- Glycerites
- Acetic Apple Cider Vinegar Tinctures
